1. Participation Guidelines:
- The competition is open to photographers aged 18 and above and all experience levels residing in the WANA region.
- You may submit only one project that has not been previously presented or officially published as a complete project, and that has not received funding through a grant or institutional award.
- You are eligible to apply if you are from and/or residing in the WANA region (with Valid residency card).
Eligible Countries: Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, South Sudan, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Yemen.
- The theme for this category is "open".
2. Image Submission:
- All Project images should be compiled in one pdf file.
-A powerpoint with the 20 images along with the title and description with each image can be saved and shared as pdf.
3. Number of Entries:
- Each participant is allowed to submit one (1) in-progress or incomplete photography project only. Multiple submission forms are not permitted.
* Please ensure the Project you are submitting meets the following guidelines:
Concept & Vision: Present a clear, compelling idea with a strong overall vision.
Artistic Cohesion: Maintain consistency in style, tone, and visual language across all images.
Technical Execution: Demonstrate skillful use of tools, composition, and production quality.
Narrative & Storytelling: Effectively communicate a story, message, or emotion.
Innovation & Creativity: Show originality and a fresh perspective in concept or execution.
Potential / Development: Indicate growth, depth, or promise for further creative exploration.
4. Disqualification Criteria:
- Images containing nudity, sexually explicit content, or content that promotes hate, violence, or discrimination will be automatically disqualified.
- Any form of plagiarism or copyright infringement will result in disqualification.
- Submissions that do not adhere to the technical or content guidelines may be removed without notice.
5. Judging Process:
- All submissions will be reviewed by a panel of expert jurors.
- Decisions made by the judges are final and binding.
- Selected winners will be contacted via email (please check your inbox or junk/spam regularly)
6. Important Dates:
- Submission Deadline: 14 March 2026 – 1 May 2026
(Open call closes on 1 May 2026 at 11:59 pm Doha time)
- Winner Announcement: August - September 2026 (subject to change).
